St Mary & St Margaret, Castle Bromwich Parish church,  is protected by law as a Grade 1 Listed Building. This denotes that it is a building of nationally outstanding merit. It is a Norman church and a medieval church within a Georgian church, something very special, and something that must surely be preserved for another thousand years.

St Mary and St Margaret has a thriving and inclusive all-age congregation from many walks of life. While many people come from the local community - the "village setting" of Castle Bromwich with its Hall and Gardens - many others are drawn from further afield and from different Christian traditions. We are a popular choice for weddings and baptisms.

Whatever your background or previous experience of Christian worship, you will find a warm welcome at St Mary and St Margaret.   Children are especially welcome

We run groups for moms and babies, for primary school children (Wayfarers) 4-11, as well as opportunities for young people to be involved as servers, bell ringers and in our choir. Our older congregation and community socialise at coffee mornings and luncheon clubs,

We also hold a bereavement club in our church hall every month

We have an organist and a choir and a wonderful set of 8 bells played  by a loyal group of bell ringers.

St Clements, Castle Bromwich meets in a fairly modern (1960s) multi-purpose building, originally constructed to be the Church Hall. But, although we don't have a steeple or stained glass, we do have a congregation of about 60 people seeking to move forward in worship, discipleship and mission.

Our church serves a parish of about 12,000 people. A third live in Castle Bromwich, a fairly affluent area; whilst the remainder of the population come from the less affluent Smiths Wood Community, which is an Urban Priority Area (UPA). Both communities are well represented in the congregation and its leadership.

Worship is usually relaxed and informal (but still Church of England). Words are projected on a screen along with other content. We use a variety of contemporary Christian worship songs alongside more traditional hymns.

People are invited to explore the Christian Faith together through Bible studies and other activities.

There are a variety of activities for various age groups (including craft group and other cafe based activities). More information and news about church activities can be found on our Facebook page.

Many other groups use the church during the week... everything from street dance to slimming world. So there's always something happening here.

Nice traditional red brick building which upon entering looks like the usual Toby branded pubs. That is by no means a negative comment as the pub is comfortable and functional. As with all Toby's food is the main focus here.
